Honest question.
I was never really interested in politics and was kinda soured with the whole process but after maturing in the Bush Era, who can blame me really?
So after an exciting election, initially supported Hillary, learned to like-then-adore Obama, made fun of Palin and witnessed history, I turned into a junkie.
I follow the news, visit this site and all other left leaning ones ( I don't have the stomach for drudge or redsite or even faux news).
But now, Duuuuuuuuuuuude? Is there a particular reason most diaries or comments or opinions have to be " THE SKY IS FALLING???"
I expected this from the Glenn Becks, the Fox News, the Hannitys and company...
But do we really have to do their work for them now?
We relegated republicans and Co to the wilderness, made their opinions kinda irrelevant and worth a chuckle or two but is it really necessary now to have their talking points begin with " Even very liberal Paul Krugman says.." or " Even democrat Obama supporter Arianna Huffington is against.."?
Yes, Geithner had a rough start. But if a decade worth mess was easily solved or even if there were an appealing solution to this crisis, wouldn't it have been solved already?
When we have respected Economists, Ivy League policy wonks and these "apparently" smart heads all at loss of what to do exactly, shouldn't it be an indication that cleaning up the mess is just NOT going to be smooth, pretty and most likely boderline revolting?
I guess am just saying... with everything on this guy's plate, on the president's plate, can't we just give them time to breathe, concentrate and at least try?
We know that even if they agreed with his policies, republicans ARE NEVER going to back this young democratic president and if we all fold like cheap cards as well 2 months into his presidency, how are we ever going to advance anything that's dear to us?
We've waited 8 looooooooooooooooooooooong years, do we really have to start eating our own so early?
1993, anyone?
