As the Steele-Limbaugh cage match ends in a whimper with Steele not living up to his name, it's time to consider the next step...
Steele has apologized to Limbaugh, ending what could have been Steele's chance to show just how good of a leader he is, a golden opportunity to drag the GOP a little closer to the center has been lost. The 'leader of the GOP' can't even stand up to a talk radio host? If this isn't proof positive that Steele is no Obama, I don't know what is.
From Breibart at the Washington Times, we get this nugget of deliciousness:
Anonymous liberal commentators, the rabid pests of the new media, sought out the most popular conservative blogs to flood the zone with familiar Rush Limbaugh slanders. Their goal: To demoralize the right with layer upon layer of media domination. Only talk radio with its emphasis on Socratic debate over raw emotionalism and with Mr. Limbaugh in the driver's seat has escaped the left's clutches of pure media dominance.
Socratic debate over raw emotionalism? Has Breibart actually ever HEARD Rush's show? If Socrates was alive today, he'd kill himself AGAIN over that statement.
Since the GOP 'leadership' has shown it has a spine of jelly, I think it's time for us to step up and call for Rush to run for President. Palin can be the VP pick again, because nothing says GOP like an old angry white guy who smokes cigars, has drug problems and a questionable marital history being teamed up with a GILFy moose hunter who makes him look like a genius. What better way to ensure a second Obama term?
