With 77 percent of precincts counted, Cook County Commissioner Mike Quigley holds a nearly 2,100-vote margin in the 5th Congressional District special Democratic primary. At more than 9,500 votes, he's outdistancing state Reps. John Fritchey and Sara Feigenholtz, who are listed at 7,434 and 7,179 according to election authorities.
Update:
With about 85 percent of the precincts counted in the 5th Congressional District special Democratic primary, Cook County Commissioner Mike Quigley's has opened up a 2,300-vote margin. He's got 10,390 votes to state Rep. John Fritchey's 8.079 votes and state Rep. Sara Feigenholtz's 7,984 votes, according to unofficial returns from city and county election authorities.
