Rahm Emanuel's recent revelation that the Obama administration would not seek convictions against the Cheney/Bush administration officials for approving and promoting torture, leads me to believe that some folks in the current administration care more about winning elections, rather than the rule of law.
They seem content on simply having something to hold against the neocons, and Republicans in general, in the hopes that these "wrongs" can be used against them in future elections, and perhaps, more immediatly, as leverage to use in pushing forward the Dem's agenda.
But sadly, this isn't good enough. I'd rather they be more interested in doing the right thing and prove to us all that the Obama Administration will not tolerate criminal activity on any level. Now that's change I can believe in.
