Have you heard about President Obama's Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships?
It's got bishops, reverends, priests and pastors, there are Baptists, Methodists, Protestants, Catholics, Jews and Muslims ... in fact, you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a representative of a major religion. But guess what? The inclusion of one gay activist can only mean one thing, according to Newt Gingrich:
"I think their goal is to have a very secular America in which government dominates everything," he said. "Why wouldn't you put an anti-religious, left-wing zealot on a faith-based group? It's a perfect pattern for this administration."
Apparently the other 20 or so religious representatives are a clever ruse, providing cover for the zealot to undermine our chances for a truly righteous government that looks to religion to guide it.
And of course it would take a deeply religious man such as Gingrich to realize what this so-called faith-based group is really up to.
