I usually write diaries filling out more angles in my very unpopular "Cassandra" series.
But I'm hankering for some GOOD NEWS, so here is some!
I've been blogging about 'Better Place' and 'standardized EV battery technology' a little here, but mostly in my local paper.
Well, Better Place has a battery-exchange video up on their website!!!
Here is the vehicle of the future getting a 'fillup'!!!
In UNDER two minutes, without getting out of the car.
Watching the video made me think of my step-dad at age 4 'going to town' in a horse-drawn wagon in 1919 and seeing an automobile for the first time.
My local city council has signed up to be a part of the Bay Area initiative to put 'Better Place' charging units and battery replacement centers in our town!
If we add rooftop solar electric that homeowners could get PAID FOR instead of utility theft of energy and the California economic miracle could resume.
A little MORE after the jump!
I have a few questions to posit here.
Why is the federal government assisting with the DISMANTLING of American auto manufacturing instead of encouraging the adoption of this technology by ordering American-built vehicles using 'standardized EV battery technology for the federal and post office fleets?
Why haven't any American manufacturer's committed to building 'standardized EV battery' cars?
Why is corporate America and the American government letting the rest of the world pass us by?
