Is Janet Napolitano, off her rocker now? There are no Timothy McVeigh's running around here now?
This was the irresponsiblity of the conservative media when DHS put out the alarm on the rise of domestic terrorists in this country.
The conservative media, including our own morning joke and his empty bot, Mika, who laughed at this and called Napolitano "off her rocker", now has to face the fact that the report was true.
And when it stated a rise of veterans in the right winged extremists groups, the DHS report was blasted, only to find out that the shooter, Von Brunn, was a former military officer.
It said von Brunn was World War II veteran who was retired from the Naval Reserve officer and formerly worked in advertising. The PT Boat Museum in Germantown, Tenn., told NBC News that James Von Brunn served as commanding officer of a PT boat during World War II.
Who is laughing now?
Again, morning joke is not a journalist, but only a wolf in sheep's clothing trying to twist and turn words to the public about conservatism. Anyone who voted for the marriage amendment and that Terri Schiavo amendment is over there, as in the far right and that is what Scarborough is. Being on a television show and trying to reinvent your image don't change the facts of who you are. And Mika? What happened to you as a credible journalist? Bought and sold to be an empty bot to an ignorant talk show host? Sad. But it is just not morning joke, it was the total irresponsibility of the conservative media, period.
Even this from Minority Leader Boehner, who jumped all over the DHS intial report:
Among the chief critics of a recent Department of Homeland Security report on right wing extremism was House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH), who, after the report was released said, "The report that came out of DHS was offensive, and unfortunately, Secretary Napolitano still has a lot of explaining to do."
After it became clear that the suspect in today's deadly shooting at the Holocaust Memorial Museum is the sort of right wing extremist that report warned about, I put in a call to Boehner's office to ask whether the tragedy had made him reconsider his earlier criticisms.
Here's the Republican Leader's response: "Trying to exploit this awful tragedy to score political points - from the right or the left - is simply grotesque. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."
Who is laughing now in the conservative media? Or in the Republican Party, who is leaderless and allows all this fear and hate mongering to continue? In fact, they are very silent right now, as they should be. What happened yesterday and to Dr. Tiller is hate and civil rights crimes, period.
Lastly, DHS don't back down on any report that you put out there from here on out. This was information that the public needed and if it was taken SERIOUSLY, maybe, just maybe, yesterday would not have happened.
