This is a stupid diary. I'm sorry. Now, please help answer my question.
I want to do something now for health care. I want a strong public option.
I don't know what to do.
How do I do effective activism for health care reform?
Where have I been? Head in the sand?
She's two months old and beautiful. Her two sisters are three years old and beautiful. Those three girls are why healthcare reform means something to me. For me, it's about the sort of country I live in -- the sort of country where I will raise my girls. I want them to belong to a country that cares for its people.
Before that?
Before that, I dabbled in political activism, but I've never been effective. I cared about lots of issues, but I put my brain to work in the way it works best. Those skills won't help now. This health care reform means something to me, but it's outside my skill set.
Health care reform is the reason I gave money to Obama -- I believed he would and that he could do it, but I think this will take more than money.
I know there are people on this list who know how to organize. I know there are people who can make use of someone like me, or who can tell me how to be most effective.
Put me to use. Tell me what to do.
