Bill Maher spoke about his hope for audacity when it comes to President Obama on his Real Time show this Friday, new rules.
Speaking of Republicans, if you can't shove some real reform down their throats now, then when?
He was right, I'm getting tired of hoping and hoping for a lot more audacity. Corporate America, those entities that have thrived on profiting at our expense have to be put on notice.
Remember when Obama said it wasn't going to be easy?
Well, maybe we need to just do what's right rather than worrying about consensus. And are we not tired of hearing the back and forth? The waffling of the White House on the public option that it's coming and going and we can't keep our stories straight, it is making my head hurt. I have insurance, what about those who don't?
I agree with Bill Maher, just do it President Obama. We must have a public option. It's not something that we can compromise on because it's the difference between life and death for millions of Americans.
If not now, when?
President Obama, this is the best question to be asked. If not now, when?
Thanks Bill Maher, I do agree that Obama needs a little more Bush in him, "I'm going to get this done, I'm going to push this through and I'm going to do this now and I'm going to do it in full measure."
As much as we came to despise his smirk and creepy little laugh, he knew how to get things done, some of the most disastrous and harmful actions our country's ever done and yet, hell, he did it.
We won President Obama, we deserve a public option.
There are issues that do matter most, energy issues, health care and the financial system that brought us to this very painful depression. It's time that we get our voice heard and not just heard, but we must be listened to.
I know, I get it, it's only been a few months, but how many are disheartened to hear the backing off on DOMA, DADT, a public option on health care, cap and trade?
If not now, when?
Give all the speeches you want President Obama, talk the talk but when it comes time to signing Health Care Reform into law the only success will mean a public option that will eliminate health care as a privilege but make it a right.
If not now, when?
