A Wikipedia user using a static IP for the last 4 months (which probably means it’s a consulting firm, PR firm, or business), has been editing Mark Kirk’s (IL- R) Wikipedia page, as well as Chris Kennedy’s Wikipedia page. Both of them are speculated to run for Senate in Obama's vacated seat.
If you go through the edits, it’s clear they are trying to spread a negative story about Chris Kennedy and trying to hide Mark Kirk’s vulnerabilities.

Spreading Negative Stories about Chris Kennedy:
Here is an edit on Chris Kennedy’s page made on May 20, 2009 [source]:
CRAINS CHICAGO BUSINESS BLOG: Did Kennedy's firm get a sweetheart deal?[3]
As Kennedy announced for Senate, Greg Hinz, a reporter for Crains Chicago Business wrote:
"As Merchandise Mart boss Chris Kennedy edges closer to a decision on whether to run for the U.S. Senate, his involvement in a controversial deal in Cleveland is beginning to draw a fair amount of attention on the blogosphere. At issue is Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc.'s partnership with Cuyahoga County in a proposed convention center and medical mart. The project is to receive a reported $425 million in public subsidies, financed by a 1/4-cent sales tax. The matter has received a lot of attention in the Cleveland press, with the Plain Dealer threatening to sue over alleged violations of the Ohio Open Records Law, and reports that a county commissioner pushed hard to approve the project fast even though the cost might be reduced by more than $100 million."
When you search on whois ip, it says that the ip is located in Vernon Hills, IL. Anyone know any big Republican PR or consulting firms located out there? --- *** According to commenter Rush 2112- the IP resolves to Arlington Heights, Illinois, which would put it square inside Mark Kirk's district, and it would also make more sense.***
And in case you didn't know, according to a blog post today over at Roll Call, it was overhead that one of Mark Kirk's colleagues called him out for having "Senate Envy."
