To those of you who are blocking universal healthcare (media included):
Deaths in the U.S.: 776 per 100,000 per year
Uninsured Americans: 50,000,000
Number of Deaths/Year Among Uninsured: (50,000,000/100,000) = 500 x 776 = 388,000 per year
Deaths per day Among Uninsured: 1,063
At the very least, hundreds of people are dying every day because you play your games, pander to the healthcare industry, or are looking to pad your re-election campaigns.
We are watching and we are collecting names.
If you think we were organized for the presidential campaign, wait till you run for re-election. It won't matter if Mrs. Jones's cow runs against you, you will lose.
This isn't about politics. This is about being a human being. Humans have compassion. Humans help their fellow man.
If you have true philosophical issues with how to implement this, then work harder. Get it done. Now. Voice your support and then settle your differences.
If you are just a roadblock, consider yourself warned.
