Yesterday's Legislator of the Day, Rep. David Dreier, received "hundreds of calls" requesting support of ENDA, according to a staffer. This response shows how sore is the crying need for job equality legislation. We extend a hand to Rep. Dreier's staffers who gamely took these calls amongst the many pressing areas of business.
For those of you who are wondering what ENDA is, it is the Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2009, HR 3017, that would prohibit job discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Wikipedia has a more thorough explanation.
This series is designed to give information about legislators who are undecided about ENDA, and need some education about it.

Rep. LoBiondo is a Republican, but a member of the moderate Republican organization Main Street Partnership, whose members are more fiscally conservative, and less socially conservative. He voted yes on hate crimes bills in 2007 and 2009, and voted yes on ENDA in 2007. He has, as yet, not come out with a position on HR 3017. Please contact him and ask him to support HR 3017.
And while you're at it, sign up to meet with your legislators during the August recess: http://bit.ly/...
