After trying to nurse a lemon of a car for one more year it is time to admit defeat and try to salvage something out of it through the CARS program. Please join me below the cracked manifold, err, umm, fold!
So I decided two years ago to retire my baby, a 1997 Ford F250 diesel, extended cab. It was a leftover from my days on the farm and it just didn't make sense any longer. So I bought a vehicle used that I hoped to last at least three years. It hasn't and it won't. Apparently I have a small crack in the head so I have to find a new vehicle. I still have a year left to pay on this f-ed up pos so I am not happy. I have been putting all of my money into either fixing up the lousy pos or my house so I am only going to have the CARS money to help. Sign of the times, eh. Thank god for having a job. I was wondering if any of the number crunching members of dailyk have ran the numbers to see what is the most affordable type of car under the program. I wish I could go for the best mpg, but for now I have to go for the best bang for the buck. Anyone care to share their analysis?
Thanks for reading this, I am really at my wits end on this. I have dumped probably 3K into this car in the past year and I thought all of the problems with this f-ing used pos were over.
