Yes it's true. The GOP not only lost the 2008 elections but lost by a wide margin. Even as we speak, Stephen Hawking and a crack team of mathmeticians are crunching the numbers from every possible metric but the results remain the same. The Republicans have such miniscule numbers that we can now state with full certainty that they are irrelevant.
A handful of wing nuts claim to be a majority against health care reform. My question is, where was this majority last November. I'm stating the obvious as to why we have elections. After all, it is the only real poll that counts. They had their chance, the rantings of anti-socialism, he's not an American, Obama associates with terorists, all propaganda ignored by the real majority of Americans who know better.
According to the right wing, it's ok to disrupt town meetings but protesting against the war in Iraq is un-American. If you happen to be a republican president, run up the defecit and implement prescription drug programs that grease the machinery of the pharmacutical industry with no way of paying for it and that's ok. Where were the teabaggers then? If you are an African American, Democratic President that has to infuse the economy with capital because wall street pirated our investments, then you are a socialist. Insist that Americans have fair access to health care and it's too much too soon. Oh here's another news update, medicare, medicaid, and the VA health insurance programs are government run.
I challenge all representatives and senators opposed to health care reform to pledge not to accept campaign contributions from the health industry. The charge that Democrats are in charge but can't pass health care reform is somewhat misleading because some of the small state democrat senators are heavily funded by the health industry. Yea the chance of that happening is zero. The old line of follow the money was never so true.
