New York City is about to be graced with a visit from one of our more notable Kossacks, Land of Enchantment. And she wants to meet you! Follow me below for the details:
You may know LoE from her Netroots Nation shoe diaries here and here, where we get to know each other from the bottom up, or as the writer of the Friday at the Movies series. Or you may just know her as an outstanding writer on issues of class, and her region.
Now she's coming to NYC, and we want to give her a big welcome! She has requested Turkish food, which they don't have in New Mexico, so here are the details:
Date: Tuesday, August 25 (one week from today!)
Time: 6:30 pm - whenever
Place: Dervish Turkish Restaurant
146 West 47th Street (between 6th & 7th Aves.)
Check out the restaurant here.

Come meet Land of Enchantment! If you were at Netroots Nation, let's compare notes. If not, come hear her firsthand experiences, and add your own insights. We're looking forward to a cool, enchanted evening!
I'll be around to respond to comments for about an hour, then I must go out. But I'll reply to everyone, even if it's later today. And please rec this up so NYers who aren't on the mailing list will see it!
