The President has said he needs us to "stand against the politics of fear and division", and "fight for the security and stability of quality, affordable health care for every American". So it's time for everybody to jump in with the same kind of enthusiasm and tenacity that we had in November and get this legislation to President Obama's desk.
Just like in November, you can visit barackobama.com and sign into the Neighbor to Neighbor campaign. Download phone numbers or a map and your neighbor's addresses, read the script, and get started campaigning for health care reform.
The SEIU is working with several groups who have joined together to launch Americans for Stable Quality Care to make the case for health care reform and "end the roller coaster nightmare that health care has become for too many Americans who get sick, lose their jobs, move or experience another significant change in life".
Finally, sign on to Health Care For America Now to join in or plan a Take Action August event near you. There are rallies, canvassing events, educational forums and more which are listed below You can also find a list of your Senator and Representative's scheduled townhalls at the web site.
