Right off the bat - Comcast has booted MSNBC off "Expanded" Cable in Atlanta - the same cable grouping that provides a subscriber ESPN, CNN, TLC, MTV, and TNT.
I had MSNBC until today.
So there will be no more KO and Rachel for the Comcast subscribers in Atlanta who pay for the most popular package - Expanded Cable.
UPDATE!!!!!!! Another call to Comcast and they relinquished! Arianna is on in Atlanta at 10:14pm EST!
ANOTHER UPDATE!!!!
Demand MSBNC!!!!!!!! Demand Keith Olbermann!
They listen!!! (two phone calls for me)
The Becknuts are!!!!
Usually, cable TV groupings have a "basic" tier (networks, over the air, PBS) and a limited second tier of cable favorites like ESPN, TLC, History, TNT, etc.
CNN and Fox News fall into the latter group - which is fair enough.
For the combined grouping most of us pay $40-50 per month. There are no "premium" channels in this pay package.
Before today, MSNBC fell into the latter grouping for Atlanta residents.
No more! My Comcast representative informed me that I will no longer receive MSNBC despite a package of Expanded Cable, 3 Megabit internet and long-distance/IP phone at 139.99 per month.
I was informed that if I objected to write Comcast at PO Box 2127, Norcross, GA - 30091.
There are three million US citizens in Atlanta. This Red State needs a non-corporate voice amongst the right-wing chatter on cable TV.
Atlanta residents - please write Comcast today!
