I'm not one for crowds, but this could be a great way to spend an afternoon:
The President is taking his plan on the road!
I know this is a brief diary, but I think it's important to get the word out and show some support.
Three days after Wednesday night’s key health care address to Congress, President Barack Obama will hold a rally at the Target Center in Minneapolis on Saturday.
Obama will discuss health insurance reform, emphasizing bringing "stability and security" to the insurance industry, according to a news release.
It may be a great day for scootering, walking with my dog, or just soaking up some late summer sun, but I sincerely hope many Minnesotans, and not a few Wisconsinites and Iowans show up and lend their voices of support.
Saturday’s speech is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and the program will start at 12:30 p.m.
Spread the word and get on board. I'll be there!
