This just came in my inbox this afternoon. The Rob Miller campaign is out with what I believe is their first video of the election. It's a 3 minute video detailing Rob's background, and includes interviews with both Rob and his wife.
This campaign now has the money to compete against Joe Wilson in large part because of Kossacks.
Following our success on ActBlue, Rob Miller now has:
A new website
A new campaign video
Over 5000 friends on Facebook
And hopefully an army of volunteers...
Here's the campaign email, which was signed by Rob's wife:
Dear [x],
By now, you’ve heard a lot about Joe Wilson. I want to introduce you to my husband, Rob Miller.
Rob's guiding principles are exactly what we need in a Congressman: service, community, and hard-work.
Rob Miller: Called to Serve
When he was just 14, Rob's father passed away. Even though they had health insurance, the out of pocket costs were so high, they could barely make ends meet. Rob got a job washing dishes to help support his family. With a lot of hard work and the support of their family, church, and community, Rob’s family pulled through this difficult time.
The incredible power of community led Rob to serve his country as a United States Marine. His decision to run for Congress is a natural extension of Rob's desire to give back to the community, who gave him so much.
While Joe Wilson’s actions have sparked a national debate, my husband remains focused on the people he is running to represent. Rob’s entire life has been spent serving others – first his family, then his country. Now, let’s help him serve South Carolina's Second District in Washington.
Let's send a Marine to Congress who will serve each and every one of us.
All the best,
Shane Miller
