That's right gang another GOP congressperson stepped in it while speaking to an enthralled pack of Neanderthals at some random ThinkTank (TM). They called the President a: Nazi, Communist, Socialist, Racial Slur (both implicit and explicit), and an enemy to all man kind !!!one1
You know it was funny for awhile to see the GOP implode and occasionally fart out another juicy "scandal" or ignorant statement, but at this point it's just "Man Bites Dog." Face it the Republicans are a crazy factory, producing an endless supply of crazy-stupid windmills for the MSM and the left to tilt. No doubt tomorrow another Congressperson will ask to see the President's birth certificate, whine about Czars or make up something novel, but equally stupid. They do it because it gets them attention, they do it because they have no ideas.
The GOP is that kid in class that hurls spitwads, makes fun of the other students and adds nothing meaningful to the whole experience. Healthcare? well at present any real reform will save money both for taxpayers and for people with private insurers (in form of more competition and cost control), a conservative position you would think, nope its Socialist, and Fascist and umm whatever else that sounds like "boo" to someone. They have no ideas, they chant smaller government and tax cuts and accept them as religion not as points for debate. Yet they all know that their ideology failed.
I'm just tired of seeing us pay attention to them. Yes, it's great fun watching an idiot be an idiot, but there are only so many times i can hear a fart joke before it loses its comedic value. How about rather than sticking their noses in their collective poo -- we stick their noses in our legislative victories? Time spent dealing with the idiot of the day is time not spent explaining to people how the public option is a win-win for everyone (except insurance companies).
The problem I have at this point is the impending rightwing loon that will take all this idiocy as reason to blow something up. Rather than point and laugh I think it's time that we make a concerted effort to point to how dangerous this is, and have people walk this nonsense back. If we just point and laugh, then are we really accomplishing anything meaningful? are we just being distracted? I guess we can keep on playing madlibs with what some high ranking Republican said.
Congress(man/woman) (Name) (State) -- said: (your favorite stupid thing said) to (group of knuckledraggers). How dare they!
