Yesterday the Congressional African American Caucus sent a letter to President Obama that made themselves crystal clear about what Real Reform means. Add that to the news that Speaker Pelosi has said she Can't pass a Bill without a PO, that Maj. Leader Hoyer has backed the PO, and that the Progressive Caucus has stood their ground, and we got something worth fighting for!
Are you fired up yet? What else is it going to take!
Okay, so I am just going to throw this out there . . .
Every time we say a Public Option is dead WE HELP KILL IT. Instead of declaring it dead we should be FIGHTING LIKE HELL!!!
This ain't over, not until WE SAY IT IS!
I'm bringing the Hammer Down on Senators Feinstein and Tester. Who's coming with me?
More fight and less bitching and moaning, so, who's coming with me below the fold?
The Unions are putting there foot down, the Progressive Caucus is putting their foot down, 4 out of 5 bills have a PO including Teddy's HELP committee and we are cutting the GOP OUT of the equation. This is going to come down to who wants it the most, us, or the wingnuts.
So, what are you going to do? Quit? Or FIGHT?
We are almost there! You're not going to quit on the last leg of the race are you?
No one said this is going to be easy.
Do you even need an excuse to tell Senator Dianne Feinstein (?-CA) what's really on your mind? Well, here's your chance.
We also have the Freshman Senator from Montana Jon Tester up in the batter's box. He has been spending too much time with The Senior Senator from Montana Max Faucus, and I think he needs us to tell him what we want, and what we want is change we can believe in, real reform and a robust public option.
First of all,
Why do we want a Robust Public Option?
- A PO will create COMPETITION, breaking up regional health insurance monopolies.
- Competition drives prices down.
- A HCR bill with Mandates and no PO is a gift for the insurers that caused this national disaster. Do you want to reward them for fucking this up?
- A PO will benefit the ECONOMY freeing up disposable income for the majority of American families, which will create consumer spending and lead to job creating.
- A PO helps small businesses, freeing up capital that will allow them to lower their prices and hire more Americans.
I can go on, but these should suffice for a basic starter kit.
Anyway, on to the show . . .
Let's keep these calls respectfull, but effective . . .
Target # 1 for the Hammer: Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)
Do I even need to explain why we should be all over DiFi's ass?
She is not representing her constituents needs, her state is not Conservative and already has a much more liberal Senator in Barabara Boxer who is going to cruise to re-election, and of all DiFi's betrayals over the years her position that a privatized Public Option is just as good as a non profit one is as high on the WTF meter as it gets.
What's Your Fucking Problem, DiFi? Well, we all probably know by now. You are a sell out, but you're not getting off that easy.
Give her an earful, but play nice. Okay, not too nice. Tell her how much a Public Option means to you, and let her know who you will be glad to priamary if you don't get one.

Target # 2 for the Hammer: Freshman Senator Jon Tester (D-MT)
U.S. Sen. Jon Tester said that a so-called "public option" in the health care bill is optional for him and said he is not yet committed to backing the plan being put together by U.S. Sen. Max Baucus.
Tester said Wednesday he could envision voting for a health care reform bill with or without the option that would let the uninsured buy into a Medicare type government program.
"I don't need it either way," Tester told The Associated Press between meetings with constituents. "I could either support it or not support it. It's all in the design."

Yeah, you don't need it, but I do, 47 million of us do, millions of small businesses do, American families do and the American economy does, too.
So What's Your Fucking Problem, Jon? I think you've gotten a little too chummy with Baucus's pals in the lobbying circuit.
Let's give Jon a piece of our minds, and let him know how important a Public Option is to us and that when we elect someone we expect them to dance with the one what brung em! He aughta be able to understand language like that.

So get out there and Fight, Damnit!
