Today's Columbus Dispatch has a front page story "Schools to skip Obama's speech: Callers get Dublin, Hilliard to shun TV talk to students." Yup, our local school superintendent, David Axner, isn't going to let my kids watch Pres. Obama's "stay in school" speech next Tuesday. Apparently, too many parents have complained! Well, it's our turn to complain. Please join me in contacting Dr. Axner (and consider making a call to your school district; the other side sure has!)

Columbus Dispatch "Hot Issue" question of the day: Should schools allow students to watch President Barack Obama's speech on education?
Talking points:
* Obama's speech is only 15-20 minutes
* The President will be talking to students "about persisting and succeeding in school"
* It's not unprecedented. Pres. H.W. Bush had a school address in 1991
