As many of us obsevered tonight, the GOP behaved themselves like the untethered maniacs dotting the landscapes of the many townhalls.
I would encourage You all to write Your representatives, especially those of You (like myself) burdened with the idiocy of their so called representation.
Below the fold is my letter to my rep -- Eric Cantor
I watched the President of the United States Joint Session address this evening and what I observed of the Republican side and You specifically dishonored Yourself, the Congress and the Country.
Sitting there 'texting' during the President's speech was behavior that I wouldn't allow from my own teenage daughters, let alone expect from any member of congress, especially one in the leadership of their party.
As reported, Rep Joe Wilson yelled that the President was lying during his address. If You have any sense of decency, You will condemn and rebuke your colleague for this behavior.
Your behavior and that of Your party was nothing short of embarrassing.
The country, the Commonwealth of Virginia and Your congressional district all deserve Your sincerest apologies on behalf of Yourself and Your party. Anything less will only prove that You not only lack the seriousness to engage in the debate of health care reform in this country, but You lack the seriousness, maturity and decency to have any say in the government whatsoever.
Say what You will about the President's speech, I can not believe the behavior of the Republicans, it angers me to no end.
Please WRITE Your Republican Representatives and let them know that You most definitely do NOT approve of their behavior
