Remember Andy Sere? The NRCC's regional press secretary who was all to happy to use gay baiting dog whistles on a Democratic candidate for Congress? Well he decided to weigh in on the race to succeed Vic Snyder here in Arkansas by thoughtlessly dissing one of the potential candidate's military service.
That potential candidate is Paul Suskie, a former candidate for Attorney General here in Arkansas. Now I freely admit I don't know what all jobs Suskie has held, but I do know that he has served his country bravely in the armed forces and toured overseas. However, that apparently isn't good enough for Sere and the Republicans:
Paul Suskie has been feeding from the government trough his whole life, having never once held a job in the private sector (and he’ll face serious questions about some of his actions in the public sector).
Now I'm not a Suskie fan. He's way to conservative for my tastes and I actually agree that there are some actions of his in the public sector that he has to explain, but that's not the point. Sere chose to diss a veteran's service, and while I have never served in the armed forces and don't know if Sere has or not, I don't take the sacrifices and honor of the guys and gals that put their lives on the line for the rest of us lightly, and that's why I have to call this jackass out for saying something so damn disrespectful.
