AMEN.
Tim Kaine is NOT, repeat, NOT Governor Howard Dean, MD.
The losses as Wilder exposes, do sit at his feet because he is in charge of grassroots organization, getting the votes out in states, getting Democrats elected, and KNOWING WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THE GROUND.
What happened in Massachusetts was called, "Taking the eye off the ball."
How the DNC could not know, repeat, not know what was happening in Massachusetts does make one wonder, "What the fuck are they doing?"
Yes, Coakley was a bad candidate, but the DNC is in charge of organizing GOTV in states, knowing AHEAD of the curve what is happening on the ground. That did not happen and it was on Kaine's watch.
Wilder continues to say that the Chicago folk who got Obama in the White House, sure aren't doing a good job at governing.
Hello? Look at the waste of 2009. And Axelrod, Jarrett, etc., did a bang up job getting Obama elected, but 2009 was a total waste. For the average American to look at what this Administration has done, thus far, the impact individually there is none. This is why Obama has lost ground on the economy issue, to have the Republicans (who we KNOW don't give a DAMN about anyone getting a job and the best friend to Wall Street, insurance companies) just behind the Democrats on this issue is a huge warning shot. And yes, I am glad that the Obama Administration is doing something about JOBS, ECONOMY but is it too late. Democrats or Obama have a very short window going forward. I like the movement of Plouffe, but let's not hide our heads in the sand. That political team is disastrous, 2009 is all you need to look at to go forward. If no movement swings back towards the Democrats coming late Spring early Summer this is an indicator of suppressed momentum our way and some damn resignations need to be submitted to the Oval Office.
This is why everyone should be worried about the mid-term elections:
Republicans have significantly narrowed the gap with Democrats on who is trusted to deal with the country's problems and have sharply reduced several of President Obama's main political advantages, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
The survey paints a portrait of a restless and dissatisfied electorate at the beginning of a critical election year. More than seven in 10 Americans disapprove of the job Congress is doing, and as many say they're inclined to look for new congressional representation as said so in 1994 and 2006, the last times that control of Congress shifted.
Asked how they would vote in the November House elections, Americans split evenly -- 46 percent siding with the Democrats, 46 percent with the Republicans. As recently as four months ago, Democrats held a 51 to 39 percent advantage on this question.
That is danger in the bold, emphasis mine's.
