Republicans have irrefutably refuted climate change by observing that there can't be global warming because it snowed in the Washington DC area. That same line of Republican reasoning can also be used to show that the U.S. unemployment rate is actually closer to 7%, instead of the value of 10% determined by liberal ivory tower economists (and measured data). So using Republican reasoning, the economy and jobs situation are much different than Obama and the Democrats are claiming, which show the Democrats to be a bunch of lying poopyheads on both global warming and the state of the economy.
If you haven't already guessed my methodology for this application of "The Math" developed by Republicans, follow me over the fold.
Republicans are insisting that because it snowed in the Washington DC area (i.e., Virginia and Maryland), then it must also be cold in the rest of the country and even the rest of the entire world. This single critical weather event thereby provides an immediate and irrefutable visual invalidation to that entire liberal hypothesis of global warming, based as it is on such fatuous and discredited liberal ideas such as "scientific data" collected by using actual "scientific instruments" to measure the actual climate in many different places and over a long period of time and then applying "scientific reasoning and testing". And do you know what Republicans say? Ha ha! Do you hear me? Ha ha ha!
I believe that the line of Republican reasoning can also be applied in many other areas beside global warming denying. In particular, I will show that by using similar Republican reasoning it can be proved beyond the shadow of a doubt and with... geometric logic... that the U.S. employment rate is actually closer to 7% and that thus the economy and jobs situation are vastly different than the Obama administration with their liberal ivory tower economists is claiming and that the Obama administration is thus lying to the American people about the actual state of the U.S. economy.
The crux of the methodology of "Republican reasoning" is that whatever happens in the Washington DC area (i.e., Virginia and Maryland) precisely reflects what is happening around the country and the world, the latest example simply being Washington's Unusually Large Snowstorm that clearly refutes global warming. I now apply this inherently obvious and valid Republican methodology to the U.S. employment rate.
Using unemployment statistics from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for December 2009 (and thus using the enemy's own data to defeat and embarrass the enemy), we find that for December 2009 the unemployment rate in Virginia is 6.9% and in Maryland is 7.5%. Since those two values for Virginia and Maryland cluster around 7%, we have indisputably proven that the unemployment rate for the entire United States is thus 7% instead of the value of 10% that the same Bureau of Labor Statistics claims the U.S. rate to be. And so the Republicans have precisely demonstrated that the economy and unemployment are actually vastly different (7% being vastly different from 10%) than what the Democrats and the Obama administration claim, clearly showing them to be, as claimed above, lying poopyheads.
The potential reach for this Republican reasoning methodology of "what happens in Washington reflects what happens in the entire world" has mind-boggling possibilities. For example, this Republican methodology can show that the per-capita number of political lobbyists nationally has been titanically underestimated to the extreme detriment of our highly valued political lobbyist community. In addition, this Republican methodology greatly simplifies the taking of the national census--simply count all the residents of Virginia and Maryland and multiply by 25--problem solved and the census budget could be drastically cut and the money saved from the census given as an earmark to congressional district redrawing consultants, like my Uncle Jack (who should be out of prison shortly we are told by his K Street lawyer).
