I'm a big fan of the "Climate Denial Crock of the Week" series by Peter Sinclair. He used to post around here, but I haven't seen him recently.
His latest video breaks down the climate science from the starting point (150 years ago), to answer those folks who claim that there's no evidence for human caused global warming. It's very straightforward and easy to understand. As with all of Sinclair's videos, it's a good tool to help folks understand how the scientists know what they know.
IPCC mistakes & stolen emails don't change the basic science of climate change.
I've posted the video below the fold...
And while we're on the subject of deniers, two recent posts present an argument that I have yet to see addressed by the denier crowd. The first is by our own A Siegel, and the second by Climate Brad.
Both present lists of the major scientific organizations that back the theory of human caused global warming. Climate deniers would have us believe that all of these groups are either completely wrong or are part of a grand global conspiracy that would make the Truthers' conspiracy theory seem downright quaint.
Am I missing something? Is there another argument that would throw away all of this science?
Of course, it's probably just the over 30 crowd that needs convincing:
From @energyaction: "I have been to enough college campuses to know if you are 30 or younger this climate issue is not a debate. It’s a value." - Sen. Graham
And if you don't need convincing (or aren't sure, but realize that there are lots of other good reasons to support clean energy), click here and sign up to call your senators over the next few days. The push is on to pass clean energy legislation through the Senate and we need everyone we can muster!
