I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sick of Jim Bunning holding up unemployment benefits for millions of Americans. Not surprisingly, so to is North Carolina Secretary of State (and U.S. Senate candidate) Elaine Marshall who just launched a massive petition calling on Senator Richard Burr to do his job.
From my inbox:
Do you know what Senator Bunning actually said when he was told his actions would hurt millions of Americans: "Tough s%&!"
It is shocking to me that anyone elected by the people would be so insensitive to the millions of Americans hurt by this recession. What's more disappointing, is Senator Burr's silence, which makes him a willing accomplice to this heinous crime.
Full email is below the fold.
You can sign the petition here:

Quite frankly, Senator Burr's time in the Senate is coming to close -- but North Carolina cannot wait until next January for these unemployment benefits. A deal may be reached soon, but it won't get done unless Republicans stand up to Bunning. Burr needs to do what's right for the people of North Carolina.
400,000 North Carolinians, and millions of Americans, will go without theses benefits.
It's time for Jim Bunning to stop. So please join Elaine in DEMANDING Richard Burr do this job for once:

This email was sent out to supporters just moments ago:
Mike -
This week, we've seen the worst of Washington as Kentucky Senator Jim Bunning is single-handedly blocking the extension of important unemployment benefits for thousands of North Carolinians. Our Senator, Richard Burr, remains eerily silent.
It's no surprise really, the same failed leadership we've come to expect - but we can't let him get away it. It's time we speak up, and send Richard Burr a message.

Nearly 400,000 North Carolinians are without work, and will be crippled by the loss of unemployment benefits. All the while, Senator Burr remains deadly silent. That is unacceptable and it's time Richard Burr does right by the people of North Carolina.
It's time to say "no more" - DEMAND Richard Burr speak up and get to work:

I'm running for U.S. Senate to make sure things like this don't happen anymore.
But North Carolina families cannot wait until next January; they need Senator Burr to start doing something for them now. With your help, we can only pray he does.
Thanks for everything,
Elaine Marshall
