Okay, I've really had it with Raul Grijalva at this point. It's apparent he's trying to get attention right now. Look, I understand the bill isn't perfect, but right after the President's speech, this is not the kind of press that needs to come out now.
Grijalva may vote no
This is getting ridiculous. This bill is the best we are going to do at this point. Voting it down doesn't make it better. It makes it worse. No President will EVER want to touch healthcare reform again after this, should it fail.
An influential House progressive says he's less likely to vote for the final healthcare reform bill now that the White House has incorporated Republican ideas -- which could indicate a serious problem is brewing among liberals as Democratic leaders try to figure out a way to finish work on the legislation.
"As I weigh it, I think -- for me -- a 'no' vote is something that I continue to lean toward," Rep. Raúl Grijalva, D-Ariz., the co-chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, told Salon in a brief interview off the House floor Wednesday. "Especially the last additions -- that was kind of a slap in the face for all of us who fought for the public option."
He's a good progressive and he fights for what he needs to, but if Bernie "SOCIALIST" Sanders can vote for this bill, he can to. You can improve a bad bill over time. What you can't do is improve no bill over time. He needs to remember he's only one member, and the progressive caucus is a 70 bloc group out of 216 needed to pass the bill and then out of 51 more Senators in the Senate.
The time has passed for putting attention on your issues. It's time to vote. Once you get your assurances from the Senate, Grijalva, there will be a vote, and there will be an immense tragedy if it is voted down by you who wants to do healthcare.
