I'm interrupting my SCOTUS diaries for this outstanding interview that Colbert had conducted. I'm definitely watching the remainder that's going to be posted online tomorrow.
Suffice to say, I was shocked by his seriousness of it.

Now, I'm sure there are going to be folks on both sides of the discussion here. I'm not going to state my position on the video. I will just ask that people watch the video that's been posted and you guys come to your own conclusions, though I'd advise watching the full video and not simply the edited one.
This interview showed that Colbert is a hell of an interviewer though. On par with Stewart. Though, that last statement made me cringe a bit.
Unlike Jon Stewart's often-substantial sit-downs, Colbert's interviews usually tend more towards the frivolous. But his chat with Wikileaks founder and editor Julian Assange actually revealed some new insight into the notoriously mercurial Australian and the organization he runs.
Julian Assange did tweet a point in regards to Sec. Gates' comments on the video itself. Wikileaks and Robert Gates. He stated that Gates lied, though as the facts pointed out, that doesn't appear to be the case.
