I believe it was yesterday that the president attended the funeral of Civil Rights icon Dorothy Height. Some news has been made about the fact that the president cried during the funeral. I'm sure the president loved Dorothy Height, but it wasn't because of her that he was crying.
He doesn't start crying until a certain song is performed (stand). This song spoke directly to the president and his situation as the leader of the country. It moved him so much so that he couldn't help but cry. And when you watch it, you'll likely be moved as well. You'll understand that while he has accomplished a lot thusfar as president, most of his achievements have gone largely unnoticed. This takes a toll on him. While he continues to reach out to republicans, they continue to play politics. The fact that people are forgetting about the atrocious eight years of the Bush administration and the fact that 95% of media are in the back pockets of republicans don't help matters.
This song encourages him and it encourages me to continue supporting him. Start the Video at 20 minutes and 20 seconds (20:20) and LISTEN TO THE WORDS OF THE SONG and you'll understand why the president was emotional (but encouraged).
