When I was a kid my dad loved the Dodgers. The Brooklyn dodgers. He grew up in Brooklyn and watched his team leave. So ya he talked about it a lot. One of my earliest memories is Kirk Gibson's walkoff. Ron Paul's Dodgers are libertarian ideas, he even named his son after Ayn Rand. I put myself in Rand's shoes. Imagine if people told me Jackie Robinson took the real umps off the field so when Goldman Sachs came to bat they got unlimited at bats and drank all the people's gatorade. Or when BP came up swinging Pee Wee Reese hired an ex oil executive to not count the balls and strikes. And Duke Snider created some nonsense called high frequency trading where he could sell you a bat and right before the transaction goes through... I've totally lost this analogy haven't I? Let's try a different angle...
Who wouldn't go a little crazy in a race against this talented guy? :)
OK. So you all heard the new rule that if my title tricks you, then you have to give $1 to Jack Conway.
Conway's post victory interview
And I just love this from Jack's interview in the Washington Post!
"Rand Paul has this tendency to get in public or get on national cable shows and feel like he wants to give me a lecture on constitutional law," said Conway. "I'm the attorney general of Kentucky. He didn't go to law school. I did. I don't need a lecture on Constitutional law from Rand Paul or Sarah Palin."
and Conway's response to Paul calling the President's comments about BP "un-American"
h/t Jonze Rand Paul apparently has a deeply held conviction that corporations should be allowed to do what they see fit without oversight or accountability. He even goes so far as to say that that criticizing corporations when they hurt taxpayers and working families - as in the case of the massive BP oil disaster - is 'un-American.' As Attorney General, I've seen how corporations can take advantage of consumers - whether it's oil companies that gouge Kentucky customers after a series of storms or pharmaceutical companies that commit Medicaid fraud. I have a deeply held conviction that we need a senator who will hold companies accountable. We have enough senators in Washington who are looking out for what's best for corporations. My sole focus will be looking out for Kentucky's taxpayers and families.

This is one of the most bizarre attack ads I've ever seen. From a Rand Paul supporter... or is it?
You can help Jack Conway's race by donating via actblue at our Progressive Electorate page or at the Orange to Blue Daily Kos page. Conway isn't going to win solely with Rand Paul putting his foot in his mouth. We need to continue letting Kentuckians know that there is a better choice this November.
