Good morning. Big thanks to CJB for covering last week. Owing to the vagaries of monsoon season weather, this morning is a work day here on the high desert. My jobsite is becoming a swamp due to a plentitude of rain, despite my efforts in anticipation of flooding.
Here on the high desert we NEVER complain about rain, or too much water, or missing sunshine, however, there are moments when the abundance of free water falling out of the sky (a miracle in itself!) CAN be an inconvenience.
It not having rained in 48 hours, we are hoping to get some work done today.
Meanwhile, we will be open here for questions and conversations about home repairs and improvements and I trust our loyal ad hoc cadre of construction professionals and gifted amateurs will again rise to the occasion and offer advice and interest. I'll be in and out. I hear the dogs barking in my neighbor's yard, which means he'll soon be here to pick up some stuff and set forth to work, and I'll soon have to follow him over there.
Fortunately, the adobe portion of this project hasn't started yet and the project will survive the present conditions.
Thanks for dropping in.
