It was an odd choice for him to say it in 2009, and it's an odder choice to promote the video on the front page of his campaign site now.

Charming: "I am going to cock block Delaware" - Mike Castle
Republican Mike Castle could have a serious race here. The only polls so far have been by pollsters with slim credibility --Research 2000 and Rasmussen -- and Democrat Chris Coons has only started to bring out the big guns. We may see a tightening race this fall along with several other races that are currently off the radar.
MIKE CASTLE
Mike Castle may have been joking when he said he'd cock block Delaware, but his votes aren't funny. He's voted consistently to block Obama/Biden progress in a state that voted strongly for the president.
Castle voted ...
- AGAINST the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
- AGAISNT the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
- AGAINST healh care reform
- AGAINST college education reform
All joking aside, this dude's been "cock blocking" Delaware for years, and he'll only continue to if he ends up in the Senate.
Do you like Mike?

CHRIS COONS
On the other hand, we have Democrat Chris Coons. He's just started recording ads that will let Delawarians know they have an alternative to Castle. Check out the latest ad regarding offshore drilling and a fundraiser with Joe Biden.

Now is crunch time to make a real difference in our Senate races. There are 18 Republican seats up, and now 19 Democratic seats up. We can and should make gains folks. Democrats have had a lot of legislative victories in the last year and a half that we need to celebrate and promote. Elected Republicans have only moved further to the right and are offering no clear vision for the future. We should be able to beat the tar out of these guys.
If we lose seats in November, Obama is going to be a less effective president, and his potential will start to slip away. However, if we make gains, we can really start making progress. We can either spend the next 6 years getting shit done or thinking back to the good old days of 2009 and 2010 when we passed a few things in the Senate.
If you're in or near Delaware, please consider helping out. Or help out in the community where you live.
This weekend I'm joing OFA volunteers to get voters registered in the college town where I am. Have you moved since you last voted? Register and vote! Participate, organize, and let's win these races!
