Castle Bay'sis a restaurant on Main Street in Annapolis Maryland. It is one of the local favorites for Traditional Irish Music, in fact they have Music 5 nights a week. Karaoke on Sundays. And if your lucky you can go in, sit down and listen to our Governor sing a few songs and play his guitar, or sing some Karaoke, just like any other musician in the state of Maryland.

What has this to do with Political Strategy? Follow the thought patterns below.....
Martin O'Malley is a true working man's politician. His philosophy is one that I think the Democratic Party could pick up and capitalize on to counter some of the negative press we have been receiving and the loss of popularity for our President. In Fact putting a Face Like Martin's on the Democratic Party would not hurt at all.
We have needed a "real" Strategy, one that the American Public can cling to, one such as the philosophy Gov O'Malley has used since his first campaign for Gary Hart.
ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Lets' put politics back into the hands of the voters.
.
Wanting to Make a Difference: Learning from the Inside In December of 1982, Martin O'Malley, still in college at Catholic University, signed on with the Gary Hart for President campaign. He rose through the ranks, and in late 1983,...It was an exhilarating time for O'Malley and he was forever changed by the opportunity to travel across the country, see new things and to meet new people and hear their stories. After returning to Maryland, Martin O'Malley finished college and enrolled at the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore. "I remember just having this feeling, a sense of mission, that I was going to get involved in public life. Hart turned me on to the fact that one person can make a difference."
Martin's record of achievements, and failures are of public domain, but for all of these years it does appear that his passion for serving the public, is still as alive as ever. He has worked tirelessly to improve the lot of the less fortunate in Maryland. Sought and received funding for Battered Women, impoverished children to get them medical coverage, and to improve the schools. Most of his record can be found on the Governor's Web Site.
To this day he follows a simple Philosophy and a Simple Strategy,
Work For the People, to Protect the people, and improve each and every Marylander's Lot in life. I am not debating O'Malley's record here, or his affiliations, just strategy.
Can we morph that up a bit, to a national level?
