Paul Broun, Jr. recently visited Athens, GA, for an America Speaks Out Town Hall and spread his wild conspiracy theories. Athens is a progressive city in GA, home to R.E.M., the B-52s, of Montreal, DJ Dangermouse. It also hosts the University of Georgia. The fact that Broun Jr. represents this community is an utter embarrassment to all Georgians and Americans. I feel compelled to share today about how we can fight together to defeat him in November.
After our POTUS was elected, Broun compared him to Hitler. When the health care debate raged, Broun told packed rooms of seniors that "If they pass this bill, they're going to give grandmother narcotics until she catches pneumonia and dies." Now, with clean energy legislation a possibility, Broun claims its passage means grandma will die of hyperthermia because she can't afford air conditioning. He also openly questions whether Pres. Obama deliberately delayed response to the Gulf oil disaster to help pass clean energy legislation.
Paul Broun, Jr. made local news yesterday for his opposition to HR 5566 which would ban the interstate sale and transport of "crush videos." You know, the sexual fetish videos that depict people crushing to death small animals with their high heels. Broun was one of 3 to vote against it, siding with sexual deviants.
Paul Broun, Jr. is an utter embarrassment, and there's no end to the stream of nonsense spewing from his mouth.
Folks, I'm the Democratic Nominee running against this man because I think it's time to send responsible representation to Congress. We need someone who will fight to create jobs and support our schools. We are working hard to build this grassroots movement in NE GA, raising over 100k in our first fundraising quarter. Please take a moment to help me defeat Broun, Jr. by voting for me as a DFA Grassroots All-Star. We could really use the outside support here in GA to maintain our momentum into November. You can cast your vote here: http://www.grassrootsallstars.com/...
Thanks for all that you do, and I'll catch y'all in the comments!
