It's time to move on from Obama and Gibbs and all the dramas. Obama is not on the ballot this year. Real candidates are, however. Here's one, Robin Carnahan, willing to bring it to Roy Blunt, criticizing him for making the economy crash and then supporting the bank bailout in her first TV ad in Missouri. A Fighting Democrat.
My transcription:
1999. Roy Blunt votes to deregulate Wall Street, eliminating safeguards in place since the Depression. Nine years later, as the economy collapses, Roy Blunt takes charge in passing the 700 Billion Dollar Wall Street Bailout. Blunt says it's "one of the high points in his time in Congress." No wonder Wall Street has given Roy Blunt over 1.6 million dollars in contributions. Roy Blunt, the Very Worst of Washington.
I've been cranky and pissed off lately. Losing hope. But there is nothing better to perk me up than kicking the ass of a Republican like Blunt. This election is between a mainstream Democrat (Carnahan) and, to be blunt, a right wing asshole, Blunt, who was Bush's supporter on everything. He was the fucking minority whip for Bush. Deregulation all the way. On a personal level, a real Gingrich. He dumped his wife of 20 plus years for a cigarrette lobbyist (so much for family values).
In 2002, Blunt attempted to insert a provision in support of tobacco corporations into the legislation that created the Department of Homeland Security. According to the Washington Post, "The provision would have made it harder to sell tobacco products over the Internet and would have cracked down on the sale of contraband cigarettes, two practices that cut into Philip Morris's profits."[6] Blunt said that he pushed for the provision after speaking with John F. Scruggs, vice president of government affairs for Altria. At the time, Blunt was dating Altria (the parent group that owns Philip Morris) lobbyist Abigail Perlman, whom he later married. His son, Andrew, also works as a lobbyist for Philip Morris in Missouri. In contrast to House tradition, the rider had not been cleared by the House leadership. It was removed from the final bill by an anonymous Republican member

Jack Abramoff
In 2003 Roy Blunt co-signed a letter written by lobbyist Todd Boulanger, part of Team Abramoff, to the Interior Department endorsing the position of one of Abramoff's tribal clients, the Louisiana Coushatta's in their fight to protect their casino turf.[8] Blunt's leadership PAC, Rely On Your Beliefs, received $8,500 from Abramoff.
Blunt was one of 18 lawmakers, lobbyists, and lawyers who was listed as "FOO Comp" at Abramoff's restaraunt Signatures, meaning that he could dine for free

And in the weeks leading up to the election, we'll be holding Congressman Blunt accountable for his 14-year Washington record of wasteful spending, corruption and sticking it to the middle class.
Check out our new TV ad that is airing in Missouri today

Our first television ad, "Nine Years Later," outlines how Congressman Blunt, whose record represents the very worst of Washington, helped wreck the economy and was then a key leader in passing the $700 BILLION Wall Street bailout.
But don't worry about this ad hurting Blunt's feelings; the Congressman doesn't seem to shy away from his big business buddies. In fact, he has already taken $1.6 million from Wall Street special interests, and he's been using that money to attack Robin.

Robin on the economy:
It’s time to put Missouri back to work. With unemployment rates at their highest in a quarter century and more than 15 million Americans looking for work, Missouri families and small businesses are struggling. Middle-class Missourians who have worked hard and saved responsibly their whole lives have seen their nest eggs wiped out and their home values plummet.
It’s going to take a while to dig our country out of the economic hole that a decade of failed Washington leadership and reckless spending got us into, and we have to put families first again.
Robin Carnahan understands that the heart of our economy is on Main Street—not Wall Street—and the importance of the jobs created by small business and the purchasing power of middle America. Robin has the commonsense values we need to help pick up the pieces of our broken economy, rebuild the American dream and ensure the mistakes of the past are not repeated.
Making Our Economy Strong for Working Families
About Robin:
Robin Carnahan is Missouri’s Secretary of State. She was first elected to the office in 2004 and re-elected in 2008 earning more votes than any candidate for any statewide office in Missouri history.

A fifth generation Missourian, Carnahan grew up in Rolla, Missouri, and graduated from Rolla High School. Her parents, Mel and Jean Carnahan, instilled in her a deep sense of public service and a responsibility to help others. Carnahan earned a bachelor’s degree in economics, graduating magna cum laude from William Jewell College, a small Baptist college in northwest Missouri. She earned her law degree from the University of Virginia.
Today, in addition to her duties as Secretary of State, Carnahan continues to manage her family’s 900-acre farm and cattle operation near Rolla. She is also an avid runner (having completed five marathons) and an instrument-rated pilot. Her husband, Juan Carlos, develops and maintains business computer systems

Instead of fighting among ourselves (we can always do that), let's kick some Republican ass. We'll all feel better for doing it.

Update I: For those who don't know, Robin is the daughter of former Governor Mel Carnahan who died while running for the Senate against John Ashcroft. He won and the acting Governor appointed Mrs. Jean Carnahan, her mother, to the seat.
She kept her promise.
To the march of slow and steady drumbeats, she walked behind the casket with her children and grandchildren, followed by Carnahan's successor, Gov. Roger Wilson. The Clintons and Gores also followed a few steps behind. A riderless black horse with its boots backward in the stirrups, symbol of a fallen warrior, was also part of the procession.
" I thought when we marched behind the casket today and the magnificent horse with the boots turned backwards in the stirrups, that in a way it was fitting that our friend Mel died in the saddle with his boots on, fighting for the causes he championed," Clinton said.
The memorial service, unprecedented in state history, was held under sunny autumn skies and drew thousands of mourners' hours before it was scheduled to begin. Midway through the service, Carnahan's daughter Robin gave a eulogy on behalf of the family. "I'm going to speak to you as Mel's daughter," began Robin Carnahan, who recalled her father's daily admonition about keeping wood on the fire on cold winter mornings. "Dad, I promise we won't let the fire go out," she said, holding back tears.

Update II: From itsnotbutter in the comments. Roy and the phony pick up truck
You left out one of my favorite examples of Blunt being a Wall Street tool, pretending to be part of real life in Missouri: Blunt has admitted that when he campaigns in Missouri's rural areas, he drives a rental pick-up truck. In Washington DC, his ride is a black SUV. Roy's current TV ad shows him posing in front of a green-screen photo of a family farm.
Meanwhile, Robin Carnahan actually manages her family farm in rural Missouri.
And here's Robin kickin' ass on this topic, in an interview with the Sedalia (Missouri) Democrat newspaper, as quoted recently in the Huffington Post:
"(Blunt) loves to come to Missouri and put on a plaid shirt and drive around in a rented pickup truck and say he is looking out for us... but every opportunity he has had to stand up and be on our side, guess whose side he has taken?" Carnahan said.
