Palin resigned as governor after 2 years; which was ok with her supporters - and better for the State of Alaska.
She flies on private jets, made $13 MILLION and is considered is a woman of the people.
Censured on ethics charges, she announced that she was found innocent.
But Michael Joseph Gross, who calls himself a Christian from a small town wanted to write a sympathetic article about Sarah "Barracuda" Palin. And he did.
Sarah Palin: The Sound and the Fury
Even as Sarah Palin’s public voice grows louder, she has become increasingly secretive, walling herself off from old friends and associates, and attempting to enforce silence from those around her. Following the former Alaska governor’s road show, the author delves into the surreal new world Palin now inhabits—a place of fear, anger, and illusion, which has swallowed up the engaging, small-town hockey mom and her family—and the sadness she has left in her wake.
She has made $13 MILLION this year! She screams at her staff and doesn't tip, unless it's on camera.
She is made of "Teflon." Her supporters love her, she has influence and she has helped a few Tea Party candidates win primaries, including Joe Miller, in Alaska, who knocked out Senator Lisa Murkowski.
Some of that will backfire as Democrats will defeat Tea Party "Republicans."
Yet reading the article, I get a sense that she's collapsing. In '08 she didn't know who Margaret Thatcher was. Now she knows, she wants to see her, but she appears not to know that she has dementia. (Or she won't get $100,000 to pay Thatcher a visit.)
Reagan was smarter and more disciplined, less vicious, and less vindictive. That's not to say that he was smart. He probably was disciplined. I don't know if he had the same sense of self-entitlement that she displays - as is evidenced by the bottles of water and the shopping with the RNC's money.
G. W. Bush was probably more disciplined.
Which makes me think she is likely to self-destruct, and do so in a spectacular manner. We see hints of this in the reports that she is reclusie and that she fled a local Target after someone said "Hey, there's Tina Fey! I love Tina Fey!
We know her drug of choice - it's Sarah "Barracuda" Palin. But we also know that drug-addiction is self-destructive.
