I am not one to wish ill on anyone, but I think I would make an exception for Rush Limbaugh. Media Matters currently has a full account of his despicable diatribe about the still-unfolding catastrophe in Haiti, but suffice it to say, his comments today make the usual Rush garbage appear tame. For instance:
Obama will use Haiti to boost credibility "light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country"
Other choice quotes with links to Media Matters audio clips:
Obama discussed Haitian earthquake sooner than attempted Christmas bombing; "Did he apologize for America?"
"[W]e've already donated to Haiti. It's called the U.S. income tax"
Is there nothing this community can do to respond to such viciousness? Or is this a case that such remarks are so outrageous that Rush will hang by his own petard?
I apologize for the brevity of this diary but I am genuinely stunned by the images of devastation and human suffering emerging from Haiti and the unmitigated ugliness emanating from Limbaugh in the face of such tragedy.
