The Democratic Party will likely lose control of the House of Representatives and numerous Senate seats if they pass a health care reform bill that requires Americans to buy a health insurance plan against their will!
The Democratic Party is making a serious mistake by requiring Americans to buy health insurance they do not want. How is it even conceivable that you can command people to buy a product against their will? Can government require people to buy a car built by Ford or General Motors? Maybe I don't want or need want health insurance. What if I can afford to pay my own health care bills?
My suggestion is that the health care reform bill improve health care insurance and make medicare more available. Therefore, I suggest a bill limited to something like the following topics:
- Prohibit discrimination based upon preexisting conditions.
- Provide Medicaid for those making 200% of the poverty level.
- No lifetime or annual caps on health care benefits.
- Allow drug re importation.
- Remove anti-trust exemption for health insurance companies.
- Cap deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses at $5,000.00 per year.
