Pretty much everyone in the world is now aware of the high quality of lawyers working for Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox. One staff member, Assistant AG Andrew Shirvell has spent almost all of his off hours stalking the President of the Michigan Student Assembly.
H-Post on Shirvell
Well, if you ever wanted to join this esteemed collection of legal minds, now is your chance. The Michigan Attorney General is hiring...and fast.
According the Lawyers Weekly, the AG is looking for...
Staff Attorney (Starting Salary: $48,629 to $91,496): Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law and current membership in good standing with the Michigan State Bar.
Senior Attorney (Starting Salary: $79,365 to $103,878): Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law, current membership in good standing with the Michigan State Bar, and a minimum of four (4) years of post bar admission legal experience as a practicing attorney.

Now, I can see nothing in the classified ad that would suggest Andrew Shirvell is in imminent danger of being replaced. The ad, in fact, suggests that the openings are the result of retirements.
And that may, in fact, be true. I mean, who wants to hang out by the water cooler with that Shirvell dude.
Of course, it would be quite easy to take that same stack of resumes and fill the Shirvell position.
Whatever the case, the AG's office is working with great speed. The posting appeared on the magazine's web site today - 10/10. The deadline for submissions is 10/8.
D'oh!
