Let me get this straight. Meg Whitman, running for governor of California, may have cut a deal with the police union to get their endorsement.
She leaves their pension alone while pushing every other employee into 401(K) type plans which are riskier to the public employees. The police are happy to sell everyone else... down the river. Jerry Brown won't cut a deal. In an accidentally recorded phone message, someone calls Meg Whitman a "whore" for, well, selling herself, politically. So the headline, of course, is that someone called a politician a whore. That makes perfect sense. The media are really getting to the bottom of this whore-gate scandal.
