Hello there Mr. & Ms. American Voter of 2010. Just wanted to drop in for a bit and point something out to you that you may not have noticed.
The Republican Party of 2010 is NOT your parent's or grandparent's Republican Party. You will find no Dwight Eisenhower, Howard Baker or Gerald Ford anywhere in this 21st Century version of the Republicans. No Moderates. They've all been run out of the Republican Party of 2010.
What you will find are extremists and radicals. I know some people may find that to be a bit harsh. I don't call the Republicans radicals and extremists lightly. Look at the Republicans running in 2010. Compare where they stand, to where the majority of the American people stand, and you will find that they are far away from moderation and rational thought.
Why is This GOP House Candidate Dressed as a Nazi?
Rich Iott is the Republican nominee for Congress from Ohio's 9th District, and a Tea Party favorite. For several years, Iott donned a German Waffen SS uniform and participated in Nazi re-enactments.
Nazi re-enactments.
A Republican running for the U.S House of Representatives thinks this is a good idea.
Mass murder of Jewish people, homosexuals, Gypsies, Serbs, and so many others...medical experiments on live human beings and too many atrocities to go into in this short article... but everyone on the PLANET is familiar with what the Nazis did.
And this guy, Rich Iott this 21st Century Republican is such an extremist, that he thinks that Nazi re-enactments are a good idea. That would be an idea that very few Americans would share.
As far as "witches" go... I'm sure most everyone in America is familiar with Christine O'Donnell by now.
As a sometime conservative pundit a decade ago on Bill Maher's former show, "Politically Incorrect", Christine O'Donnell said that she dabbled in witchcraft.
In the clip shown on Maher's current show, "Real Time," O'Donnell said:
"I dabbled into witchcraft -- I never joined a coven. But I did, I did. ... I dabbled into witchcraft. I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do. . . . "
First, there was her babbling about dabbling,... Then we also learn that Republican Christine O'Donnell has shown that she is out of touch with Americans (and reality) in other ways, such as when she said this:
"American scientific companies are cross-breeding humans and animals and coming up with mice with fully functioning human brains."
Seriously. Republican Christine O'Donnell said that to Bill O'Reilly on Nov. 15, 2007 on the Fox News program "The O'Reilly Factor".
Christine O'Donnell is another example of a 2010 Republican. They are extreme. They are not like the rest of America.
Now when you're talking about perverts and Republicans, it's hard to know where to start.
Louisiana Senator David Vitter was involved in a Prostitution scandal in 2007. As in... Republican David Vitter paid for sex...which is against the law. He broke his marriage vows and he broke the law. Instead of resigning in shame, he's running for re-election.
Next up on the Republican Cavalcade of Shame is Ron Johnson who is running for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin.
He opposed the Child Sexual Abuse Victims Act.
So why did Ron Johnson oppose the Child Sexual Victims Act?
Why would ANYONE oppose this?
Because Ron Johnson was on the Finance Council of Diocese being sued over child sex abuse.
Ron Johnson is another example of an Extremist Republican.
The 21st Century Republicans don't have the same values as the rest of America.
Here are more examples of 2010 Republicans who are out-of-touch with the majority of Americans:
West Virginia Republican Senate Candidate John Raese: I "Absolutely" Want to Abolish Minimum Wage
Republican Sharron Angle of Nevada is running for the U.S. Senate.
She is against a woman having an abortion even when she has been the victim of rape.
Sharron Angle also said she wants to abolish the Department of Education, the Energy Department, the Environmental Protection Agency, and hugh swaths of the Internal Revenue Service.
She wants to take the U.S. out of the U.N., phase out Social Security, and perhaps ban alcohol. She has backed a Scientology-based drug-rehab program and called for armed revolution against the very political body she seeks to join.
Kentucky U.S. Senate Candidate Rand Paul wants Seniors to pay MORE for Medicare.
Rand Paul is against the Minimum Wage.
Rand Paul also Doesn't Like Mothers, Children and Old People.
In Florida we have Marco Rubio who says we should Privatize Social Security even if people lose savings in stock market.
Does that sound like something you would support? Does it sound like something your family or friends would support? The 21st Century Republicans are out-of-touch with the majority of Americans.
Republican Richard Burr has kept a very low profile, hoping to slide back in to office as he's running for re-election. Burr who has repeatedly voted against extending benefits for the unemployed, said he opposes the extension because he believes we have a "fiscal responsibility to pay for anything when we’re in the debt we are". If you're out of work in North Carolina (or anywhere else) then you're out of luck getting any help from Richard Burr.
In MA-10, when he was a police officer, Republican Jeff Perry was involved in two illegal strip searches of teenage girls.
Republican Joe Miller of Alaska wants to to privatize Social Security and phase out Medicare. Miller says that unemployment benefits are unconstitutional (even though his wife recieved them in the past). He wants to abolish the Minimum Wage and thinks global warming is caused by "cyclical warming patterns."
Ken Buck is a Radical Republican running for U.S. Senate in Colorado. He opposes abortion EVEN in cases of rape or incest.
Just more extremism from the Republican Party of the 21st Century.
There are dozens and dozens more examples of Extremist Republicans that I could give you. These are sadly only a few. The Republican Party of the 21st Century is out-of-touch with moderation and rational thought.
