Either we lose, we win, or we end up in a muggy middle place that nobody likes. No matter what happens to the House and the Senate, we'll still have trouble and lots of it. Those who care nothing for ordinary Americans are going to maintain or step up the rhetoric and the violence. They're going to keep crushing us, literally and figuratively. They're going to keep inciting others to do their dirty work for them. Elections aren't a cure for hatred.
Let's say we've voted, the election results are known, and the situation is still grim. What do we do then?
Every day there's news leaking out that makes you want to slap somebody, right? Well, we don't get to slap them, but we can sure get close enough to wave at them. We organize small, peaceful protests at the homes and offices of every single mutha person and organization that acts to crush ordinary Americans, every single time an article is published or an evil detail comes to light.
No more than six people — six today, a different six tomorrow, every day or every week, forever, everywhere. They can say six people are a threat, but I don't think it will fly.
There are a lot of us, and we know how to demonstrate without violence or the threat of violence. They act stupid or lash out when they get annoyed. We can step back, watch it happen, and turn on the cameras.
We've established that they won't quit. Let's make sure everybody knows we won't quit either.
