Seriously, Keith, consider this. Hear me out.
Fox is Pravda for the GOP. CNN is the aging has been. And MSNBC was the place that progressives could hear a handful of progressives--Ed, Rachel and you--but not until after the kiddies have gone to bed.
Of course, we also had Joe and Mika and the rest. I presume that MSNBC keeps this lineup so that they can say with a straight face that they are not "liberal media." And they really aren't. But they do like to keep their ratings from being even worse than CNN and somebody there must have recognized that liberals watch TV, too.
So! Because I have no idea what it would cost or how much work it would entail; because I don't know beans about the cable industry; I have never been inside a television studio, much less a network boardroom; in short, because giving a suggestion is totally free--
please oh please oh please, start your own cable channel. Progressive advertisers! Liberal content! Markos can have his own show! Bill in Portland can do Cheers and Jeers every day on the teevee! Josh Marshall and FDL and Jason Linkins! Cenk!
Think about it. Please. For us. For a minute or two.
