If we can get 300,000 signatures to save Keith Olberman, we can get just as money to pressure the Democrats to push the tax program we were promised by our president.
Dear Kos Community,
If the President won't stake out the position we want him to, then we need to take matters into our own hands and pressure the lame duck Democratic controlled Congress to push through the package we want. In the Health Care Battle during the Clinton years, when things started to go south, Bill Clinton told Barney Frank privately that he was disappointed that Frank hadn't pushed back from the left against what the President was proposing. Well, the time has come for that kind of action. If we can gather three hundred thousand signatures to get Keith his show back, then we can do the same to push Congress to put forward the extension of the middle class tax cuts without the bonus for high income individuals. The GOP is on the verge of succeeding in their long term plan to starve the government thus creating a situation in which the only answer is to cut social welfare programs aimed at protecting our shrinking middle class.
Now, I don't know how to do one of those petitions but somebody here does and we need to do it and do it now. By law, this Congress is still Democratic and we should not cede the next two months just because the last election didn't go our way. Bush certainly didn't move out of the Oval Office in November of '08. He kept right on doing what he was doing. This is still our Congress and we can't forget that or let the Democrats forget it.

Here is the link to the online petition. http://act.boldprogressives.org/...
Let's do this thing. And write to our Congressional Representatives is they are Blue and not dogs. Mine is Ben Chandler and I will work on him today. We need to make our voices heard. Our position is the majority position in the country, regardless of what happened last week.
And thanks for responding, those of you who have.
