Where's my funny?
Rachel only giggled seven times during the interview, and disagreed with you on some salient points that elicited further discussion. Couldn't you have at least worn a rubber nose with Groucho Marx glasses and mustache?
Update [2010-11-12 16:5:58 by darthstar]: Maddow's comments on The Last Word are worth watching.

I can't believe you wasted my time...no, my ENTIRE LIFE!!! holding an intelligent conversation with Rachel Maddow and didn't once bang your head against the desk. Okay, so there was no desk, but if there was, you wouldn't have banged your head against it.
I was also shocked, SHOCKED, to learn that you and I don't agree on 100% of everything all of the time. As soon as I'm done paying for this tattoo of your face on my inner thigh (only seventeen more payments and it's mine!), I'm signing up for laser tattoo removal. You're supposed to validate me. Didn't you get the memo?
And you had the audacity (note word choice implying my familiarity with sellout #1 who hasn't fixed the planet in 700 days), the AUDACITY, to say that MSNBC and Fox News share some characteristics? Fox is the enemy, and Keith isn't just an answer to Bill O'Reilly...they're nothing alike! Fox is on channel 205 and MSNBC is on Channel 209...209 is a PRIME NUMBER (unless you count 11*19...but those are both prime numbers, so there).
I know, I know...back when Tucker Carlson was hosting Crossfire you went on his show for an interview, and he expected you to be funny, then you said something serious and he got all upset, and then you said you weren't "his monkey." But that was Tucker. Rachel didn't expect you to be funny because she understands you're an intelligent person (even when you're feeling crappy from a fever). That's why it was so important for you to make jokes and say things about Fox and Bush and Beck and Palin...
Oh, and I'm going to stop watching your show because it's funny and start watching it to see what else is unfunny about it. How do you like those apples? And I'm not going to stop until you go back to being what I want you to be.
By the way, all bullshit above aside...I thought the interview was very good and I suspect Rachel felt the same. She's intelligent enough to understand that people can respectfully disagree, and she probably appreciates your taking her as seriously as she took you.
