Who is it?
In my continuing efforts to earn my keep I've decided to take a shot at political cartooning. I've dabbled in the art form before, but never seriously. I'm a craftsman after all... an artisan. I make things with my hands... usually out of junk.
Some of you may remember my adaptations such as these:
I didn't create these images, I just changed them a bit.
Few will recall the poster I made in '08:
So here it is, the subject of this diary:
The most important question is... "Can you tell who it's supposed to be?"
For the time being I prefer to reserve copywrite on this image. Please don't take it and post it around the internet without my express written permission. I'm trying to make a buck here and feed my family after all. On that note I hereby grant permission to JekyllnHyde to post this image in a diary or comment. I, in fact, encourage him to please do so! :)
Secondly it might help you to identify the individual if you know where I'm from. I'm not going to tell you, that's just a hint.
Anyway, I didn't spend much time or energy on the caricature. I'm just dipping my toe into these waters here. It's ink and water colors on card stock. I'm sorry there's no funny caption or any action going on. I'm just trying to figure out if I should spend money on better materials and supplies. I'm wondering if I should send it to the big city newspaper in my area to see if they'll buy it.
What do you think?
