I'm going to put things right on the table for all of you:
The issue of the settlers in Palestine must be addressed. No solution for the conflict is possible without taking it to account.
The injustice of settlers colonizing land at the expense of the indigenous people is at the root of this conflict. No peace agreement that fails to solve that problem is just or viable.
The indigenous have suffered tremendously at the hands of the settlers who steal their land every day. Their day-to-day lives have been made a nightmare, where "normal" is the wait between one tragedy and the following.
I'm going to be blunt again:
There can be no just and viable peace treaty that leaves the settlers where they are. They must all leave. Every man, woman and child.
It's only just that they leave. They're thieves, they're beneficiaries of a land-grab, inhabiting land that doesn't belong to them. They can't justly complain about being forced to leave. If you take another people's land, then you should except the mills of justice to give the land back to those you took it from. Even if that means you have to leave by the thousands or close to a million.
I don't want to hear people talking about the injustice of dismantling the settlements, of uprooting thousands of men, women and children. Do you not agree with me that he who takes hold of others' possessions unjustly should without hesitation be subject to giving back what he took, never mind the numbers involved? Numbers don't make land-theft right.
This festering boil of settlers in Palestine must be removed. If not willingly (since when did a thief willingly return stolen property?) then by force, and no matter the number of people who have to be removed. You don't relish that scenario? I'm not asking you to. But it needs to take place if there is ever to be justice in Palestine.
Without justice there can be no peace. Without removing every single settler, there can be no justice. The settlers must go, all of them. If you don't agree with that, it's doubtful you can call yourself part of the peace camp.
It was not my intention to offend, but the truth can be harsh, sometimes too harsh than can be sugarcoated. I hope you will accept these words as intended.
Oh, and before I forget:
I believe the settlers in Palestine are the Arabs, while the indigenous people of Palestine are the Jews. However, this is only a small detail in which we differ; we agree 100% on the essentials. We all agree Palestine should be ethnically cleansed of all settlers, for the benefit of the indigenous. The question as to who is the settler and who is the indigenous is just a minor quibble.
After all, it's a fair bet that most readers here agreed with every word written here, right until they came to this small difference.
I hope you will accept these words as intended: intended to make you think.
