I can't even compose myself long enough to type this short diary. If it's not up to your expectations delete it, can it, or burn it....I don't care.
Being a life-long Arizonan I'm ashamed that this happened. Please read on below the video.
Mark Price died today waiting for a bone marrow transplant to save his life. He was notified in Sept. that the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) would not fund the $250,000 operation because it had stopped paying for certain transplants due to budget cuts.
Mark Price:
"I couldn't believe it. I really couldn't. People's lives are on the line. The only way to cure this disease and live a longer life is to do a bone marrow transplant. I know I'm young and strong and I can get through that and live a longer life for me and my family."
State Rep. John Kavanagh and Attorney General Terry Goddard called on Gov. Jan Brewer to call a special session of the Legislature to review the AHCCCS budget cuts, but no action has been taken.
There are other patients waiting on the transplant list who will also die if she doesn't act soon. How fucking cold can you be?
I'm sure "Countdown's" Keith Olbermann will report on the story on tonight's show.
This is what a real death panel looks like.
